Advisor of Healthy Living Environment, Municipality of Utrecht
Jeroen started working for the municipality of Utrecht in 2014, as an advisor for ‘Gezonde Leefomgeving’ or Healthy Living Environment, trying to protect and promote health in public space. His team aims to build an environment that people experience as pleasant, that nudges towards healthy urban behaviour and minimises pressure on health. They do this by advising on health in spatial plans and projects. He also works with colleagues in the spatial domain, other governmental agencies and (national) (knowledge) institutions, to learn more and promote Healthy Urban Living. Born and raised in the city himself, he is enthusiastic to work on a nicer and healthier city.
